Our transition year (TY) week programme welcomes students to spend the week in the observatory learning from staff about the history of the building and the contemporary science we do here. Students take part in a series of workshops and activities covering various areas of astrophysics including planetary magnetospheres, solar physics, space weather, meteors and more. Students also take part on a week long group research project in preparation for the presentation session at the end of the week.
